Cities is a series of micro-architectures created by designer Carlo Massoud.
Inspired by his travels around the world, each piece is a reinterpretation of a global landmark, a structure that has important historical, architectural or cultural significance.
This piece is inspired by the Franziskaner-Klosterkirche in Berlin, Germany.
It was founded in 1250 and built in the early Gothic style as a monastery church for a Franciscan house.
It was destroyed in the bombing of Berlin during World War II and is now the site of exhibitions, theater performances and concerts.
A significant sculpture that can also serve as a small container.
The artist’s creativity is brought to life by master craftsmen in the woodworking and sculpture workshop.
